What is permanent total disability?

If you’re unable to work based upon your work injuries and the restrictions of your physician and if your physician has indicated that he has nothing further to offer you, you may be entitled to permanent total disability benefits. Permanent total disability benefits are paid at the rate of 66.6% of your pre-injury wage. You also are entitled to a 3% cost of living increase up to the age of 62. Permanent total disability benefits are paid until the age of 75. Unless you’re catastrophically injured, I strongly recommend that you consult an attorney in order to obtain permanent total disability benefits.
