Can I sue my Florida employer for a fall?
Typically, you cannot sue your employer for a fall. Employers in Florida are immune from lawsuits from their employees based upon negligence. Your remedy would be in the workers’ compensation system. However, if that fall occurred at someone else’s place of business, while you were working for your employer, you may be entitled to sue that person.
